Effective 10 October 2026. Currency Converter Worldwide (currencyconvertworldwide.com) is operated by DixonAppStudio LLC, Elgin, South Carolina, USA. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Information stored on your device
Your conversion history, favorite pairs and settings are saved in your browser's local storage so they are there next time. They are not sent to our servers, and you can clear them at any time from your browser settings or the site's settings page.
Optional account and rate alerts
You do not need an account to convert currencies. If you choose to create an account to use rate alerts, we store your email address, your sign-in details and the alerts you set (currency pair and target rate) with our database provider, Supabase, in order to send the alerts. You can delete alerts at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by emailing support@dixonappstudio.com.
Exchange-rate requests
To show rates, the site requests them from our rates service, which retrieves European Central Bank reference rates through frankfurter.app and, for currencies the ECB does not publish, from open.er-api.com. These requests contain the currencies you look up, not your identity.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and tools are used and how the site performs. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps the site free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Affiliate and referral links
Some links are referral or affiliate links, marked "Referral links" next to them: hotel searches through Stay22, tours and activities on GetYourGuide and Viator, and a SoFi referral link for US residents. If you book or sign up through one of them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Partners do not pay for placement on rate pages, and referral links never change the rates or calculator results we show. These links carry rel="sponsored" and open the partner's site, which has its own privacy policy; the partner may use cookies to credit the referral. We record an anonymous click event in Google Analytics (which partner and which page) to see which links are useful.
Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Currency Converter Worldwide (DixonAppStudio LLC) is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Some pages show travel-money and packing picks (money belts, plug adapters, guidebooks and similar) chosen from Amazon's own product data; those links are tagged so Amazon can credit the referral, carry rel="sponsored", and open amazon.com, which has its own privacy policy and may set cookies. Prices and availability shown come from Amazon with an "as of" time and can change. We record an anonymous click event in Google Analytics (which page and block) and receive no purchase details that identify you.
Links to other services
Pages also link to money transfer providers, to our sister travel site Trips for Grown-Ups and to our apps on Google Play and the App Store. Those sites have their own privacy policies. We do not receive personal information when you click these links.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
